Judge Joyce Kimbler Brings 
Experience to Her Courtroom 

When people appear in court they want to know that the judge in charge of their case has the experience to do the job. With Judge Kimbler litigants are getting a judge with trial experience, both as a practicing attorney and as a judge. 

Judge Kimbler had 29 years of litigation experience before taking the bench. On the bench she has tried numerous civil and criminal jury trials. She has had thousands of Medina County residents serve on her juries. She presided over a capital trial in her first two years on the bench, and her handling of that trial was affirmed by the Ohio Supreme Court.

She currently presides over the only two Supreme Court certified special dockets in the Medina County Common Pleas Court, General Division. Her drug court was chosen as one of just three Ohio drug courts that were the subjects of an Ohio Supreme Court documentary. (You can view the documentary by clicking here.)
